Our Philosophy

Sound VBC is a girls youth volleyball club that operates out of the beautiful facilities at Connecticut College.  Founders and coaches Patty Giannattasio and Josh Edmed have been coaching peers since 2002 and together they provide 30+ years of proven success developing and coaching female indoor players.  As former collegiate athletes they understand the rigors and necessity of quality skills training; as college coaches they understand how college recruiting works; and as parents they know how important it is to offer opportunities where young athletes will be challenged to grow and mature in a supportive environment.

We designed Sound Volleyball Club to be small in order to foster strong relationships between our staff and with each player throughout the club. Our outcome goals are for our players to learn how to compete, develop competency in skills, be part of a cohesive team unit, and grow in character. Our athletes are able to achieve these goals through a commitment to learning and giving a complete effort in practices and matches.
